This is supposed to be one of the most exciting times in a person's life. Then why does it feel like one of the most confusing and overwhelming tasks at hand? Where do you begin?
Flipping through several bridal magazines, reading through the hundreds of books written on the subject or counting on the advice from your mother, sister or the many friends who have most recently said "I DO".
As an event planner and wedding consultant I did plan my own wedding and I have some advice for you.

Women dream about their wedding day from the time they play with Barbie Dolls and most have a vision of how they would like that day to be. Unfortunately, due to our busy schedules and lack of time, it is difficult for the bride to do the research that is necessary to make their dream come true. Wedding planning takes on a life of it's own and truly can become another full time job.
Wedding planning is all about details. On your wedding day you want to be able to relax and enjoy the moment. It's extremely difficult to be the bride, the daughter, the director and the consultant all in one. You don't want to worry about timelines and the proper flow!
This is why we believe that every bride deserves a wedding planner!
It is a fallacy to think that only the wealthy can afford a consultant.
A consultant should be able to save you money and many costly mistakes in the long run. Because they plan many events they have the contacts and relationships developed to know who is reliable, provides quality work and won't disappoint you on the day of the wedding.
Everyone has a budget! The consultant can work with the bride and her family to select and coordinate all the services necessary to ensure that this will be a most joyous occasion. Finding a ceremony site, reception site, music for both the ceremony and the celebration after, photographer, delicious cakes, flowers, make up, invitations, hair and most important the dress are all critical tasks that need to be handled.
